TEAM TOMATO IS A BAND FROM ST. LOUIS.

And they have been playing around town since 2003. Their first album, "Teamwork Helps Us All", was a solo effort written and performed entirely by Brian Wiegert, with production and engineering help from Jordan Ross. Passed along and copied from friend to friend, the album became a local hit around St. Louis. When asked to perform the album's material live, Brian dialed up his buddies -- a group of talented friends who had been making music together since their teens. With Eric Clay on rhythm guitar, Luis Actis on Drums, Greg Larico on bass and Brian on vocals and lead guitar, Team Tomato the band was born. Greg moved to Chicago, so producer Jordan Ross stepped in on bass. In 2007 they picked up a talented St. Louis utility player, Derek Bayer, from the band Eero. He joins the team on keyboards, and guitar.

Team Tomato released a second album in 2004: "Words and Skin and Bone". Recorded with the full band in Jordan's basement, "WASAB" received nation-wide attention when awarded the 2005 DIY Album of the Year and the VH1 Song of the Year Competition for the album's title track. Team Tomato was flown to LA, where they hobnobbed, got robbed and rocked hard before coming back home to St. Louis.
